Louisiana Suspect Arrested After Allegedly Shooting Into a Home in Alexandria and Injuring an Occupant

Alexandria, Louisiana – A suspect in Louisiana has been arrested after allegedly shooting into a home in Alexandria and injuring an occupant.

The Alexandria Police were alerted to a shooting incident on Railroad Avenue’s 1000 block, around 01:20 AM on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Subsequent investigations revealed that a house had been fired at multiple times, resulting in one individual being shot within. The injured party was rushed to Rapides Regional Medical Center, where they received treatment for gunshot wounds that were not deemed life-threatening.

Detectives from the Alexandria Police Department on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, around 02:15 PM, named a suspect in the shooting that occurred on Railroad Avenue. Authorities indicated that there was enough reason for them to arrest Taylor Boyer, a 20-year-old, on two counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder.  Boyer was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center.

At present, the investigation is still underway.
