Morehouse and West Carroll Parishes in Louisiana - Louisiana State Police Troop F, alongside the Louisiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division Monroe Field Office, executed a comprehensive enforcement operation in Morehouse and West Carroll parishes through the Joint Enforcement Taskforce initiative. The operation, conducted in partnership with the Morehouse and West Carroll Parish Sheriff's Offices, targeted violent crime, drug trafficking, and illegal firearm possession.
The multi-agency enforcement effort produced significant results across multiple categories of criminal activity. Troopers provided 75 public assists and conducted 121 traffic stops during the operation, which led to 29 total arrests and numerous contraband seizures.
Law enforcement officers issued 87 warnings and 42 traffic citations while making 22 criminal arrests and seven fugitive warrant arrests. The operation also resulted in the recovery of one runaway juvenile.
Drug seizures during the operation included approximately 119.1 grams of marijuana, 0.6 grams of synthetic marijuana, 5.3 grams of methamphetamine, and 1.6 grams of crack cocaine. Officers also seized two firearms during the enforcement action.
The Joint Enforcement Taskforce initiative represents a proactive policing strategy designed to enhance community safety through focused enforcement efforts. The collaborative approach brings together state and local law enforcement agencies to address criminal activity affecting residents in participating parishes.
