Welsh, Louisiana – On January 10, 2025, shortly after 9:00 p.m., the Louisiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division was called upon to investigate a shooting involving a deputy from the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office. The incident took place near the intersection of Louisiana Highway 99 and Louisiana Highway 102, prompting an immediate response from law enforcement agencies.
