Louisiana State Police Investigate Officer-Involved Shooting On Dance Road In Claiborne Parish

Athens, Louisiana - Louisiana State Police detectives are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred on Dance Road in Claiborne Parish on the night of December 17, 2025.

According to information released by the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations, the Claiborne Parish Sheriff’s Office requested state assistance at approximately 9:30 p.m. Detectives with the Bureau of Investigations responded and are now leading the inquiry into the incident.

Authorities report that one subject sustained minor injuries during the incident. That person was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No law enforcement officers were injured.
