Louisiana State Police Investigate Officer-Involved Shooting in Sulphur After Area Put on Lockdown

Sulphur, Louisiana - Detectives from the Louisiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division have been called in to look into an officer-involved shooting incident that took place on the evening of July 11, 2024, in the 600 block of South Kent Street in Sulphur. The authorities are actively working on processing the scene and gathering necessary information.

According to initial reports, one individual was pronounced deceased at the scene. No officers sustained any injuries during the altercation. The investigation is ongoing, and additional details will be disclosed as they become available.
