Lafourche Parish, Louisiana – On the morning of December 21, 2023, at approximately 9:00 a.m., detectives from the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations Houma Field Office were called upon by the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Department (LPSO) to look into a death that occurred while an individual was in custody.
According to the initial inquiry, LPSO deputies had responded to a disturbance at a residence on Danos Street. The individual involved was taken to a nearby hospital where they later passed away.
