Louisiana State Police Investigate Homicide in Rayville

Rayville, Louisiana - A shooting incident in Rayville has left one person dead, prompting a homicide investigation involving the Louisiana State Police (LSP) and the Rayville Police Department (RPD).

According to authorities, the incident occurred on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at approximately 12:25 a.m. near the intersection of Madeline Street and Scott Street. The preliminary investigation revealed that a shooting took place, resulting in the death of one subject.

The LSP's Monroe Field Office (MFO) has taken the lead in the investigation, with the RPD providing assistance. As the investigation remains active and ongoing, officials urge anyone with information, pictures, or video related to the incident to come forward.
