Gonzales, Louisiana – At approximately 1:00 a.m. on February 10, 2025, the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO) requested the assistance of the Louisiana State Police – Bureau of Investigations to look into an officer-involved shooting that occurred at the intersection of Louisiana Highway 44 and West Orice Roth Road.
According to preliminary reports, one individual sustained injuries during the incident and was subsequently transported to a local hospital. Medical staff were unable to save the individual, who succumbed to their injuries. No officers were harmed during the altercation.
