Minden, Louisiana - A 70-year-old man lost his life in a single-vehicle crash on November 1, after his pickup truck collided with a tree in Webster Parish. According to Louisiana State Police Troop G, the incident occurred on Dorcheat Road, north of Grigsby Road, at approximately 11:45 a.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that John Waldron, of Sibley, Louisiana was driving a 2013 Ford pickup northbound on Dorcheat Road when his vehicle exited the roadway and struck a tree. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Waldron, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Although impairment is not suspected to have contributed to the incident, routine toxicology samples were collected and will be submitted for analysis.
