LaSalle Parish, Louisiana – An early morning crash on Louisiana Highway 127 claimed the life of an 86-year-old Jena, Louisiana, resident on June 24, 2025. Louisiana State Police Troop E responded to the one-vehicle incident at approximately 5:08 a.m., where William Graham lost his life after his vehicle left the roadway near Coon Tank Battery Road.
Details of the Incident
According to the Louisiana State Police, a 2002 Infiniti driven by Graham was traveling northbound when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle veered off the highway. The Infiniti struck a telephone pole before colliding with a tree. Authorities confirmed Graham was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and sustained fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Routine toxicology samples were collected as part of the ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash. Officials have not yet released further details on possible contributing factors.
State Police urge all drivers and passengers to use seat belts properly every time they are in a vehicle.
