Jackson, Louisiana – Just before midnight on April 4, 2024, the East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office asked for help from the Louisiana State Police – Bureau of Investigations to investigate a shooting involving an officer in a wooded area near 4841 LA Hwy 68 in Jackson, Louisiana.
One person was declared dead at the scene. No police officers were injured during the incident. The investigation is ongoing, and more details will be shared as they are released.
