Denham Springs, Louisiana – A tragic incident occurred on September 22, 2024, when a two-vehicle crash on LA 1019 near Perkins Road in Livingston Parish, Louisiana resulted in the loss of a young life. According to the Louisiana State Police, the crash claimed the life of 20-year-old Noah Sanders of Denham Springs, Louisiana.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Sanders was driving a 2017 Cadillac ATS eastbound on LA 1019 when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle crossed the centerline and entered the westbound lane of traffic. The Cadillac then collided head-on with a 1996 Chevrolet pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction.
Sanders, who was properly restrained, was pronounced deceased at the scene. A front-seat passenger in the Cadillac, also properly restrained, sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver and passenger of the Chevrolet, who were not wearing seatbelts, suffered severe injuries and were also taken to a local hospital.
According to the Louisiana State Police, impairment is not suspected to be a factor in this crash. However, standard toxicology samples will be collected and analyzed as part of the ongoing investigation.
