Slidell, Louisiana – Shortly after 5:00 a.m. on March 1, 2025, a tragic incident occurred on LA 433 near Liberty Oaks Lane, claiming the life of 28-year-old Justin Warren from Clearwater, Florida. Louisiana State Police Troop L began investigating a single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian, which has now led to the arrest of the suspected driver.

Initial findings from the investigation revealed that Warren was struck by a gold-colored full-sized Ford pickup truck, identified as a 2012 Ford F-150. This vehicle reportedly fled the scene following the collision. Witness statements and evidence collected at the site assisted investigators in determining that the truck was registered to 45-year-old Tyrone Williams, a resident of Slidell, Louisiana.

According to the police, Williams was driving westbound on LA 433 when, for reasons still under investigation, the right front bumper of his truck struck Warren, who was in the westbound lane at the time. Following the incident, Warren was transported to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to the injuries he sustained during the crash.

Restraint use, such as seat belts, and whether Williams was impaired at the time of the incident are currently unknown. Toxicology samples have been taken and submitted for analysis to determine if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.

Williams was subsequently arrested at his residence and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail. He faces multiple charges, including Negligent Homicide, Hit and Run, and Driving on the Right Side of the Roadway. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to piece together the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
