Louisiana State Police Arrest Pineville Man for 250 Counts of Online Impersonation

From Louisiana State Police – On October 24, 2019, investigators from the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations Special Victims Unit arrested Kevin P. Miles of Pineville. Miles was arrested for online impersonation (250 counts).
In July 2019, LSP’s Special Victims Unit began an investigation pertaining to a male pretending to be a female on social media, with the intent to convince other females to send illicit sexual images to a fake account. During the investigation, a person of interest was identified.
As a result of the investigation and information obtained, a search warrant was issued for a residence in Pineville. Following the search warrant, Miles was arrested and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center.
Miles used the fake social media account for over 10 years. It was used to communicate and/or exchange images with over one thousand social media users.
