Louisiana State Police and FBI Collaborate to Arrest Child Pornography Suspect in Prairieville Home Raid

Prairieville, Louisiana - Authorities announced on April 3, 2024, that in December 2023, the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit (LSP SVU), along with the help of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Louisiana Attorney General's Office, launched a probe into the attempted dissemination and ownership of child pornography. This inquiry led to the apprehension of Andrew G. Landry, a 38-year-old resident of Prairieville, Louisiana.

On April 1, 2024, search and arrest warrants were carried out at Landry's home, leading to his arrest and accusation of possessing child pornography. He was taken into custody at Ascension Parish Prison. The case is still ongoing as more investigation is being conducted.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
