Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office Confirms One Dead in DeRidder Camper Fire

Beauregard Parish, Louisiana – The Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office (LASFM) has confirmed that one has died in a DeRidder camper fire.

On April 18, 2023, the Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office reported that deputies are investigating a camper fire in DeRidder, Louisiana involving one death.

In the 4 o’clock hour, Beauregard Fire District #2 responded to the 6300 block of Hwy 171 for reports of a camper fire. Firefighters unfortunately located a victim inside of the structure.

LASFM indicated that this is an ongoing and active investigation and more information will be released as it becomes available.
