Louisiana State Fire Marshal Examines Fatal Mobile Home Fire in Haughton

HAUGHTON, LA – State Fire Marshal deputies are investigating a tragic mobile home fire that occurred in Haughton, resulting in the death of a man in his 60s. The incident took place just after 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 28, when Bossier Fire District #1 responded to calls reporting a residential fire in the 100 block of Jodie Drive.

Upon arrival, firefighters battled the flames but were unable to save the occupant of the mobile home. The victim's identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin. As the investigation unfolds, authorities are working to determine the cause of the fire.

Fire officials emphasize the crucial role of smoke alarms in preventing fire-related fatalities.
