Claiborne Parish, Louisiana - The Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit has charged a Homer, Louisiana man with multiple counts of first-degree rape, following an investigation into allegations of sexual abuse involving three young children in Claiborne Parish.

According to law enforcement officials, the case began in May 2025 when the Special Victims Unit (LSP-SVU) received reports of sexual abuse involving two children, ages six and eight, residing in Claiborne Parish. Authorities say that during their investigation, an additional incident came to light, prompting intervention from Child Protective Services. The children were subsequently removed from the home for their safety, and Ferono Marquan Curry, 36, was booked into the Claiborne Parish Detention Center on two counts of first-degree rape.

Further developments emerged as the investigation continued, with detectives uncovering additional allegations of abuse involving the same two children and an eight-month-old infant. In pursuit of evidence, officers executed search warrants at three residences, seizing multiple items currently submitted for forensic analysis. Based on evidence collected, investigators secured a second arrest warrant, resulting in three additional charges of first-degree rape against Curry.

Earlier today, a grand jury convened in the 2nd Judicial District Court. After reviewing the evidence and hearing testimony from investigators, the jury returned a true bill indicting Curry on three counts of first-degree rape.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
