Walker, Louisiana – A tragic single-vehicle crash occurred on LA 63 at Steve Hughes Road in Livingston Parish during the early morning hours of August 2, 2024, claiming the life of 54-year-old Dianne Lee of Denham Springs, Louisiana.
According to the preliminary investigation by Louisiana State Police Troop A, Lee was driving a 2008 GMC Sierra southbound on LA 63 when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle exited the roadway to the left, entered a ditch, struck a culvert, and then collided with a tree.
Lee, who was properly restrained, sustained serious injuries in the crash and was transported to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. The front seat passenger, also properly restrained, sustained moderate injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. A juvenile rear seat passenger, who was unrestrained during the incident escaped without injury.
While impairment is not suspected to have played a role in the crash, standard toxicology samples will be collected and analyzed as part of the ongoing investigation.
