Franklinton, Louisiana – Louisiana State Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred early December 6, 2025, on Louisiana Highway 430 near Jamison Creek Road in Washington Parish. The incident claimed the life of 26-year-old Natilie Magee of Ridgeland, Mississippi.

According to information released by Louisiana State Police Troop L, the crash happened at approximately 3 a.m. as Magee was driving a 2008 Saab 9-7X north on LA 430. For reasons that remain under investigation, the vehicle failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and ran off the right side of the roadway.

Troopers reported that after leaving the roadway, Magee overcorrected, lost control of the Saab, crossed both lanes of travel, and then went off the left side of the highway. The vehicle struck a tree and overturned.

Magee was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to State Police. She sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

As part of the ongoing investigation, troopers obtained a routine toxicology sample for analysis, a standard step used to determine whether impairment may have been a factor. No additional details were released. Authorities stated that the crash remains under investigation.

LA 430 is a rural highway in Washington Parish, and crashes on such two-lane roads often involve sharper curves, limited lighting, and narrower shoulders compared with major interstates.
