Louisiana Single-Vehicle Crash Claims Life of 24-Year-Old in Sabine Parish

Sabine Parish, Louisiana - A 24-year-old man lost his life in a one-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 6 west of Many, Louisiana, on December 15, 2024. According to Louisiana State Police Troop E, the incident occurred at approximately 6:27 a.m.

The initial investigation revealed that Christopher Peveto of Many, Louisiana, the driver, was traveling east on Louisiana Highway 6 in a 2011 Ford Escape. For reasons that are still under investigation, Peveto's vehicle left the roadway, traveled down the ditch embankment, and struck a tree.

Peveto, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Routine toxicology samples were obtained and submitted for analysis to determine if any substances may have contributed to the crash.

The Louisiana State Police are urging motorists to exercise caution and follow all traffic laws to prevent such incidents.
