Louisiana Shooting Results in One Dead and One Injured in Thibodaux

Lafourche Parish, Louisiana – One person has died and another has been injured in a shooting in Thibodaux, Louisiana.

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced on April 30, 2023, that one individual died and another was injured in a shooting in Thibodaux, Louisiana.

Deputies responded to reports of gunfire in the 1300 block of Lasseigne Road in Thibodaux, Louisiana at 12:20 p.m. on April 30, 2023. Thibodaux Police Department officers also responded to assist. When deputies arrived, they reportedly discovered that one of the victims had been shot in the torso, and he was later pronounced dead. A second person was shot in the leg and sent to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Despite the fact that no arrests have been made, the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office indicated that detectives have made progress in their investigation. Before charges are officially filed, additional evidence must be processed and interviews must be done.

Authorities indicated that the investigation is ongoing, and more information will be released at a later time.
