Baton Rouge, Louisiana - Louisiana State Police say a 62-year-old Baton Rouge man has been arrested following an online child exploitation operation conducted with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
According to Louisiana State Police (LSP), the Special Victims Unit, working in partnership with the FBI Baton Rouge Field Office, carried out a targeted operation on November 13, 2025, in East Baton Rouge Parish. Investigators used various social media platforms to identify individuals they say were seeking to exploit children.
During the operation, investigators say Michael Dauzat, 62, of Baton Rouge, engaged in explicit conversations with undercover officers. Authorities report that Dauzat believed he was communicating with a 15-year-old boy and allegedly arranged to meet the minor for sexual activity.
LSP further stated that investigators learned Dauzat was employed by the East Baton Rouge Parish School System at the time of the operation.
On November 18, 2025, Dauzat was taken into custody. He was arrested on the following charges:
- Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor
- Indecent Behavior with Juveniles
He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail. Bond information and court dates were not included in the initial release.
