Calcasieu and Jefferson Davis Parish, Louisiana – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that US 165 Northbound and Southbound at Interstate 10 will experience full roadway closures on the nights of Monday, June 17, 2024, and Tuesday, June 18, 2024. The closures will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly, affecting motorists traveling through Calcasieu and Jefferson Davis Parish.
To minimize disruptions, detour routes have been designated for affected travelers. For US 165 Northbound traffic, motorists can take an alternate route by heading east onto I-10 South Frontage Road, then north onto LA 101, and finally north onto US 165. Those traveling on I-10 Westbound can detour by traveling west onto LA 3258, then north onto LA 383, and finally west onto I-10 Westbound on ramp at LA 383.
Meanwhile, US 165 Southbound traffic can detour west onto LA 101, then south onto LA 383, then east onto LA 3258, and finally south onto US 165. It’s worth noting that the I-10 Westbound on ramp will remain open to US 165 Southbound traffic.
