35th Louisiana Railroad Days Festival
Head to DeQuincy on April 12,13 and 14, 2018 for the Louisiana Railroad Days Festival.
The festival started as a country fair to raise money for the Campfire Girls group by Mrs. L.L. Irwin and Mrs. Mickey in 1963. The country fair was changed to a Railroad festival in 1983 at the suggestion of Mayor Gary Cooper partly due to the fact that the town of DeQuincy was originally established by the Kansas City Southern Railroad in 1897.
The Railroad Festival takes place at the DeQuincy Railroad Museum Fairgrounds – Click or tap here for directions.
The festival features fun for the whole family with carnival rides, food booths, vendors, a parade and live entertainment. Louisiana Railroad Days Festival is free to enter and alcohol is not allowed.
