Louisiana Pedestrian Crash on LA 63 Claims Life of St. Amant Man, Investigation Ongoing

Livingston, Louisiana – Louisiana State Police Troop A is investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred shortly before 10:45 p.m. on June 28, 2025, on LA 63 near Oliver Wheat Road in Livingston Parish. The incident resulted in the death of 47-year-old Matthew Migliore of St. Amant, Louisiana.

Preliminary findings indicate Migliore was walking northbound in the northbound lane of LA 63 when he was struck by a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe, also traveling north in the same lane. Authorities have not yet determined why the crash occurred, and the investigation is ongoing.

After the incident, Migliore was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries but, despite medical efforts, succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.

The involvement of alcohol or drugs is unknown at this stage. However, as part of routine procedure in fatal crashes, toxicology samples were collected from the parties involved and will be analyzed to determine if impairment was a factor.

The Louisiana State Police continue to investigate the incident to determine all contributing factors.
