READ will give eligible pupils with home delivery of free, age-appropriate, high-quality books and engaging reading activities.
Louisiana’s READ program is the outcome of Act 395 of the 2022 Regular Session and associated legislative appropriations. Families can follow this link to register their children or learn more about the program.

In addition, eligible children and their families can choose the topics of the books they want to receive in order to further engage students in genres that interest them.
