Louisiana Multi-Agency Team Bust Major Drug Trafficking Ring and Seize Large Amounts of Narcotics and Cash

Louisiana – Detectives from the Louisiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division-Houma Field Office began investigating a drug trafficking group in January 2024 that was distributing various narcotics in several Parishes. They received assistance from Homeland Security Investigations New Orleans, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, Houma Police Department, St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office during the investigation.

During the investigation, law enforcement officers confiscated 56 grams of heroin/fentanyl blends, 366 fentanyl tablets, 200 grams of methamphetamine, 396 grams of powdered cocaine, 20.7 grams of crack cocaine, 575 grams of marijuana, 14 ecstasy/MDMA tablets, 44.8 grams of powdered ecstasy/MDMA, and 127 Xanax/hydrocodone/oxycodone tablets.

Furthermore, investigators confiscated $10,375.00 in US currency, a vehicle, and a gun.

The following suspects were taken into custody and booked at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex.

  • Jeffery Williams Jr., 33, from Gibson, Louisiana is facing charges of involvement in drug racketeering, selling a controlled substance classified as Schedule I, distribution of controlled substances classified as Schedule II, and engaging in transactions related to drug proceeds.
  • Christopher Diano, a 55-year-old man from Houma, Louisiana, has been charged with drug racketeering.
  • Craig Albarado, a 60-year-old from Morgan City, Louisiana, was charged with drug racketeering.
  • Lucius Romero Jr., a 49-year-old from Morgan City, Louisiana, was charged with drug racketeering.

The following suspects were processed into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex on the listed charges.

  • Clarence Jones from Raceland, Louisiana, aged 45, was charged with drug racketeering.
  • Justin Lawson, a 34-year-old man from Raceland, Louisiana, was charged with drug trafficking.
  • Michael Robichaux, a 49-year-old man from Raceland, Louisiana, was charged with drug racketeering.

The Louisiana State Police thanked the agencies that helped in the investigation, as their collaboration was crucial for its success.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
