Louisiana Motorcyclist Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash on Lincoln Road in Lake Charles
Lake Charles, Louisiana – A Louisiana motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Lincoln Road in Lake Charles
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO) stated on February 23, 2023, that on February 20 at about 4:00 p.m., deputies responded near the intersection of Gulf Highway and Lincoln Road in Lake Charles, Louisiana, in connection to a motorcycle crash.
Kelly Bowman, 49, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, was going eastbound on Lincoln Road near Gulf Highway when the motorcycle departed the road and crashed for unexplained reasons, according to the inquiry. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died from injuries sustained in the crash.
Bowman was wearing a helmet according to authorities
Police stated that neither speed nor impairment is suspected, but toxicology testing will be undertaken as required by state law.
Sr. Cpl. Travis Carroll of the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is the case’s principal investigator.
