Louisiana Man Wanted in Connection with May 7 Homicide in Shreveport

A Louisiana man is wanted in connection with a May 7 homicide in Shreveport.

Detectives from Shreveport Police have obtained a warrant for a man who is suspected to be behind the murder of Raymond Behan that occurred in early May on Common Street in downtown Shreveport, Louisiana.

Police patrol officers in Shreveport responded to a shooting incident in the 700 Block of Common Street, on May 7, 2023, shortly after 5:20 in the morning. Upon their arrival, they found Behan, a victim with several gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of the Shreveport Fire Medics to aid him, Behan was pronounced dead at the location of the shooting.

Members of the Violent Crimes and Crime Scene Units’ investigation team arrived at the site. Those responsible for the crime scene collected evidence, as detectives consulted with witnesses and explored the surrounding area for video surveillance cameras.

Following a week-long inquiry, investigators reconstructed the events of the night of the shooting. On January 27, 2023, they secured an arrest warrant against Qunchavis Roshun Webster, 26, with charges including Second-Degree Murder and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. The bond has not been established yet.

authorities indicated that Webster should be regarded as armed and highly risky. The public is urged not to approach Webster or put themselves in a perilous situation in a bid to assist his arrest.
