Louisiana Man Wanted in Connection With Allegedly Fireing Multiple Shots that Hit a Home and Vehicle in Lafourche Parish
Lafourche Parish, Louisiana – A man from Louisiana is wanted in connection with allegedly firing multiple shots that hit a home and vehicle in Lafourche Parish.
On May 1, 2023, Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced that a Galliano, Louisiana man is wanted, suspected of being involved in a shooting at a residence on the night of April 29.
Jhy Dupre, 20, of Galliano, Louisiana, is wanted on suspicion of aggravated assault and aggravated criminal property damage.
Deputies and detectives went to a reported shooting at a property in the 100 block of East 120th Street in Galliano, Louisiana at around 8:30 p.m. on April 29, 2023. When they arrived, they reportedly discovered bullet casings in the driveway, as well as evidence that shots had hit the home and a vehicle parked there. There were three people inside the home when the shots were fired, but no one was hurt.
Jhy Dupre, a relative of the residents, had reportedly knocked on the door while holding a firearm, according to deputies. When the residents answered the door and saw the gun, they shut the door immediately. Dupre then reportedly began yelling and threatening them before firing several shots and fleeing. Following an investigation, a warrant for Dupre’s arrest was issued.
Jhy Dupre is being sought suspected of three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and two counts of aggravated criminal property damage.

Authorities indicated that tipsters could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 in cash if the information leads to an arrest.
