Louisiana Man Sentenced to 4 Years for Distribution of Heroin
Louisiana – On May 12, 2022, the Honorable Sarah S. Vance sentenced Alonzo Small, age 30, of New Orleans, Louisiana, to 49 months (4 years, 1 month) in the Bureau of Prisons for violating the Federal Controlled Substances Act, announced U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans.
Small conspired to possess with the intent to distribute and distribute 100 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of heroin, according to court records.
Small was sentenced to 49 months in the custody of the Bureau of Prisons, followed by three (3) years of supervised release by United States District Court Judge Sarah S. Vance. Small was also required to pay a $100 special assessment fee.
Federal Bureau of Investigation Special Agents investigated this case (FBI). Assistant United States Attorney David Haller is in charge of the prosecution.
