Louisiana Man Pleads Guilty as Charged to 100 Counts of Pornography Involving Juveniles Under 13, Sentenced to 40 Years
Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana – A Louisiana man has pleaded guilty as charged to 100 counts of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13 and has been sentenced to 40 years in prison.
The Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office reported on May 1, 2023, that John A. Arceneaux, 51, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, pled guilty as charged to 100 counts of Pornography Involving Juveniles Under 13.
Following an investigation by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crimes Unit and the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, Arceneaux was discovered to be in possession of these materials.
Judge Clayton Davis sentenced Arceneaux to the statutory maximum of 40 years in prison with hard labor, as suggested at the time of his plea.
“Our children deserve to be protected from evil and I am very thankful this child predator has been taken off the streets of our parish and won’t have an opportunity to harm another child.” said District Attorney Stephen Dwight.
The case was prosecuted by Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office First Assistant District Attorney Jacob Johnson.
