Louisiana Man Killed in Early Morning Motorcycle Crash on LA 341 in St. Martin Parish

St. Martin Parish, Louisiana – A man from Lafayette, Louisiana was killed in an early morning motorcycle crash on LA 341 in St. Martin Parish.

At around 1:00 a.m. on June 24, 2023, Louisiana State Police Troop I received a report regarding a fatal accident involving a motorcycle on Louisiana Highway 341 near Lawless Tauzin Road. Only one vehicle was involved, and the accident resulted in the death of a person named Allen Leblanc, who was 52 years old and from Lafayette, Louisiana.

According to the initial inquiry, Leblanc was riding a 2021 Harley-Davidson motorcycle and heading north on LA Hwy 341. The cause of the incident is still being investigated, but it is known that the motorcycle veered across the road’s median, veered off the left side of the road, and collided with a fence, causing Leblanc to be thrown off.

Leblanc sustained injuries that were fatal and was declared deceased at the location.

A regular sample for examining toxicology was taken from Leblanc and sent for testing.

Despite an ongoing investigation into the cause of the recent crash, it is important for drivers to always make sound judgments when driving on the road. This includes refraining from driving while under the influence, feeling excessively weary or unfocused.

Troop I conducted inquiries into 26 deadly accidents that caused 29 fatalities so far in 2023.
