Louisiana – Lendell Wallace, 38, of Laplace, Louisiana, was charged in a two-count indictment by a federal grand jury on June 23, 2022, with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute tramadol and possession with intent to distribute tramadol in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 846, 841(a)(1), and 841(b)(1)(E), announced U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans.
Wallace faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, at least one year of supervised release following any term of imprisonment, and a $100 mandatory special assessment fee for each offense.
The indictment, according to US Attorney Evans, is merely a charging document, and the defendant’s guilt must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
