Louisiana Man Found Guilty of Second Degree Rape of 13-Year-Old
Joesph H. Constance, 27, of Moss Bluff, Louisiana, was found guilty of one count of Second Degree Rape on April 28, 2022.
Constance raped the victim, who was 13 years old at the time of the crime, in 2018. Constance threatened the victim, saying that if she ever told anyone about what had happened, he would harm her and her family.
The Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office said that “Today justice was served and we would like to thank the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Sex Crimes detectives, the Children’s Advocacy Center, and all agencies involved.”
Constance is being held without bond. Constance’s sentencing will take place on May 11, 2022, before Judge Clayton Davis.
The case was prosecuted by Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office Assistant District Attorneys Hope Buford and Kadence Haskett.
