Church Point, Louisiana - The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested a 19-year-old Church Point man on 150 felony counts related to child sexual abuse materials involving victims under the age of 13.

Nathan Keith Levy, 19, of Church Point, Louisiana, was taken into custody on Oct. 21, 2025. He faces 150 counts of violations under Louisiana Revised Statute 14:81.1E(5)(a), which addresses the possession, distribution, or production of child sexual abuse materials depicting children under 13 years old. Each count is classified as a felony under Louisiana law.

The investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, a nonprofit organization that works with law enforcement to combat child exploitation, submitted a tip to authorities. The center operates a CyberTipline that receives reports from electronic service providers and the public about suspected child sexual exploitation.

Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Unit led the investigation, working alongside the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office and Homeland Security Investigations. The collaborative effort between state, local, and federal agencies reflects the multi-jurisdictional nature of internet crimes involving children.

Levy was processed and booked into the Acadia Parish Jail following his arrest. Officials set his bond at $100,000.

Child sexual abuse material cases have become increasingly common as law enforcement agencies expand their digital forensics capabilities and collaboration with technology companies.

Louisiana law treats possession of child sexual abuse materials as a serious felony, with enhanced penalties when the materials involve victims under 13. Convictions can result in substantial prison time and mandatory registration as a sex offender.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
