Louisiana Man Dies in ATV Crash on LA 960 After Colliding with a Utility Pole

Louisiana – According to Louisiana State Police, Troopers with LSP Troop A began investigating a single-vehicle fatal incident on LA 960 north of LA 63 in East Feliciana Parish soon after 3:00 p.m. on November 15, 2022. Gregory Paul Kent, 45, of Clinton, Louisiana, died as a result of the crash.

Kent was driving a 2008 Honda Foreman 500 ATV north on LA 960, according to the preliminary inquiry. Kent departed the lane to the right for unknown reasons and collided with a culvert. Kent was thrown off the ATV and struck a utility pole as a result of the incident.

Kent, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident, died of his injuries at the crash scene. A toxicological sample was taken as part of the continuing inquiry and will be analyzed. This crash is still being investigated.

Louisiana State Police said that they want to remind the public that riding ATVs on public roads is forbidden unless directly related to farming or other responsibilities stated in Louisiana Revised Statute 32:299.
