Louisiana Man Cited for Over the Limit of Black Bass in Morehouse Parish
Morehouse Parish, Louisiana – A Louisiana man has been cited for having over the limit of black bass in Morehouse Parish.
On March 8, 2023, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) stated that on March 3 in Morehouse Parish, enforcement officials cited a man for alleged recreational fishing infractions.
Chris Golden, 59, of Mer Rouge, Louisiana, was cited by agents for exceeding the black bass limit.
During a vessel patrol on Bayou Bonne Idee in Morehouse Parish, agents established contact with Golden. Authorities conducted a compliance check and discovered Golden in possession of 19 bass in his vessel’s live well, which was nine more than the allowed limit of 10 bass each day.
Agents seized the bass and returned them to the water safely.
Having more than the legal limit of black bass can result in a $350 fine.
Sgt. Wendell Weeks and Agent Stephen LaCombe are working on the case.
A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
