Vacherie, Louisiana – A Louisiana man has been cited by wildlife agents for alleged gross littering in Vacherie, Louisiana.
A Marrero man was recently cited by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) enforcement agents for alleged littering violations in Lafourche Parish. James E. Blanchard, 59, was cited for gross littering after agents observed an abandoned vessel on South Spruce Street while on patrol in Vacherie.
Further investigation revealed that Blanchard was the owner of the 14-foot vessel, which he admitted to intentionally dumping.
Gross littering is punishable by a fine up to $900, 30 days in jail, and 16 hours of community service in a litter abatement program. The LDWF agents involved in the case are Agent Mason Castello, Agent Cody Salpietra, and Agent Austin Anderson.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
