Louisiana Man Cited by Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries for Charter Guide Violation

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries confirmed on August 31, 2022, that enforcement agents cited a Lafayette, Louisiana man on August 27 for an alleged charter guide violation in Jefferson Parish.

Agents cited Dylan Hargrave, 25, for operating as a charter guide without a charter guide license.

Agents learned that Hargrave was operating unlicensed charter fishing trips out of Grand Isle. Agents discovered Hargrave offered charter fishing trips on social media during the investigation. On August 27, agents made contact with Hargrave at Grand Isle, and he did not have a charter guide license.

Operating as a charter guide without a charter guide license is punishable by a fine of $400 to $950 and up to 120 days in prison.

Lt. Joey Thompson and Corporal Jonathan Boudreaux are the agents working on the case.
