Louisiana Man Charged with Multiple Counts of Child Pornography After Calcasieu Parish Special Victims Unit Investigation
Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana – A Louisiana man has been charged with multiple counts of child pornography after a Calcasieu Parish Special Victims Unit investigation.
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO) reported on June 14, 2023, that on April 28, CPSO Special Victims Unit detectives from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Taskforce received a tip from the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in reference to Jimmy C. Prestridge II, 47, of Hornebeck, Louisiana, who was currently staying in Calcasieu Parish.
CPSO reported that following the inquiry, detectives discovered Prestridge had 150 files containing known child sexual assault material. Following additional investigation, detectives issued a warrant for Prestridge’s arrest on June 13.
Prestridge, who is now incarcerated at the Grant Parish Detention Facility on other crimes, has been charged with 150 counts of juvenile pornography. His bond was set at $600,000 by Judge Tony Fazzio.
The inquiry is ongoing, and additional charges are possible.
Detective Alexander Vincent of the CPSO Special Victims Unit is the case’s principal investigator.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
