Louisiana Man Charged with Crimes Against Nature After Allegations that He Touched a Juvenile Inappropriately on Several Occasions

Lafourche Parish, Louisiana – A Louisiana man has been charged with crimes against nature after allegations that he touched a juvenile inappropriately on several occasions.

Sheriff Craig Webre of Lafourche Parish in Louisiana reported the apprehension of a Larose, Louisiana resident for allegedly committing crimes against nature. The suspect, identified as Jose Lopez, aged 51, was apprehended on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.

The investigation began on August 22, 2023, when juvenile detectives received reports that Lopez had engaged in inappropriate contact with a minor on multiple occasions. Following the investigation, detectives obtained a warrant for Lopez’s arrest.

On the evening of Tuesday, detectives arrested Lopez and booked him into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex in Thibodaux, Louisiana on one charge of crimes against nature. The bail amount for this charge has been set at $100,000.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
