Louisiana Man Captured After Walking Away From Work Release Program in May

LaPlace, Louisiana – A man from Louisiana has been captured after he walked away from a work release program in May.

On Wednesday, July 5, 2023, law enforcement apprehended Brandon Fleming, a 19-year-old resident of LaPlace, Louisiana who had escaped from the youth center where he was serving time.

Fleming reportedly walked away from a work release program in north Louisiana on May 9, 2023. Following an extensive investigation, authorities were able to locate Fleming in St. John and took him into custody. Fleming faces multiple contempt warrants, and charges of Simple Burglary, and is also being held on a Probation hold.

He is currently being held without bond.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
