Louisiana Man Arrested Suspected of March 20 Hit-and-Run Involving a Pedestrian in Morehouse Parish

Morehouse Parish, Louisiana – A Louisiana man has been arrested suspected of a March 20 hit-and-run involving a pedestrian in Morehouse Parish.

The Morehouse Parish Sheriff’s Office (MPSO) reported on April 3, 2023, that on March 20, 2023, they received a call about a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle on Cleveland Avenue. According to reports, Investigator Alvin Holmes responded, and based on the evidence gathered, he was able to identify the type of automobile involved.

On March 29, Investigator Logan Burch discovered the suspected vehicle, and Investigator Holmes made contact with Carl Lusby and took him to MPSO CID for questioning. Carl Lusby was arrested and charged with felony hit-and-run and having an expired driver’s license after additional inquiry.

Lusby was taken to Morehouse Parish Jail and booked on the aforementioned counts.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
