Louisiana Man Arrested Suspected of Holding a Woman Against Her Will While Stabbing and Battering Her

Lake Charles, Louisiana – A Louisiana man has been arrested suspected of holding a woman against her will while stabbing and battering her.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO) reported on April 24, 2023, that on April 20, around 8:00 p.m., deputies were summoned to a residence on Gateway Drive in reference to a disturbance.

According to reports, detectives learned during the investigation that Torrey C. Robinson, 45, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, allegedly held the woman against her will for several hours while stabbing and battering her.

Robinson was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center on charges of battery with a dangerous weapon, serious bodily injury, and 2nd-degree kidnapping. Judge Tony Fazzio ordered he be held without bond pending a hearing.

The victim suffered significant injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.

Deputy Jeffery Floyd of the CPSO is the arresting deputy in this instance. Detective Mika Miguez of the CPSO is the case’s principal investigator.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
