Jeff Davis Parish, Louisiana - A Louisiana man was arrested on multiple counts of possession with intent to distribute drugs and DWI during a traffic stop.
A vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation on Highway 26 near Fontenot Road during the morning of August 26, 2023. The driver of the vehicle was allegedly found to be under the influence of narcotics and was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated. Upon further inspection, deputies discovered a significant amount of controlled prescription medication in the vehicle which included Hydrocodone pills, Methadone Lorotab Clonazepam pills, Didrex pills Benzphetamine pills Legend Drug Hydroxyzine pills, and Legend Drug Trazodone pills amounting to a total of 607 pills.
The driver, Barry James Bordelon, II, of Eunice, Louisiana, was booked into the Parish Jail for a multitude of charges including 9 counts of Possession of Schedule 2 with intent to Distribute, 2 counts Possession of Schedule 3 with intent to Distribute, 2 counts Possession of a Legend Drug, 1 count Possession of Schedule 4, 2 counts possession of schedule 2, Driving under the Influence, Obstruction of Justice, Driving on Roadway laned for Traffic, Window tint violation, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
