Louisiana Man Arrested in Mississippi Suspected of Various Charges, Including Improper Telephone Communications, Cyberstalking, and Armed Robbery, Among Others
Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana – A Louisiana man was arrested in Mississippi suspected of various charges, including improper telephone communications, cyberstalking, and armed robbery, among others.
Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet announced the arrest of a Houma, Louisiana man on various charges arising from a disturbance complaint handled by the Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division. Raishe Mendell Lyons, 28, of Houma, Louisiana was arrested on charges in connection with his role in the incident, in addition to many outstanding felony warrants.
On February 14, 2023, shortly before 11 a.m., the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division responded to the 200 block of Ashland Drive in response to an allegation of a male threatening a female through text message. When Deputies arrived, they discovered that Raishe Lyons was allegedly responsible for making threats of serious bodily harm against the female in reaction to an argument involving family members.
Deputies continued their investigation and learned Raishe Lyons was sought for many outstanding warrants, including Felony Theft, Armed Robbery with a Firearm, and Simple Burglary.
Deputies continued their investigation and discovered information that reportedly tied Raishe Lyons to the Biloxi, Mississippi, area, and made contact with officials in that jurisdiction. The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department continued to collaborate, which resulted in Raishe Lyons’ arrest on the outstanding warrants.
Raishe Mendell Lyons was extradited back to Terrebonne Parish on February 23, 2023, and arrested on accusations of Improper Telephone Communications, Cyberstalking (2 counts), Simple Burglary, Armed Robbery with the Use of a Firearm, Felony Theft, and Failure to Appear.
Lyons is now being held in the Terrebonne Criminal Justice Complex on a total bond of $165,500.00 set by local judges.
Sheriff Tim Soignet would like to applaud the Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division’s rapid response and thorough investigation, which directly influenced Lyons’ arrest and the overall safe conclusion of this event. Sheriff Soignet would also like to thank the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department for their assistance in apprehending this dangerous felon. Sheriff Soignet said, “Our Patrol Division did an amazing job in this investigation, which would not have been possible without the efforts of our Public Safety partners from Mississippi. This is yet another example of what can be accomplished when Law Enforcement agencies work together.”
