Louisiana Man Arrested in Iowa, LA After Allegedly Stabbing His Wife

Proactive police action led to the arrest of a man on November 1, 2021, wanted for allegedly stabbing his wife. Their residence in Breaux Bridge was the scene of the stabbing.
Troopers from Troop D received information that the suspect was passing through the Lake Charles area. A Troop D Trooper discovered 60-year-old Robert Lee Williams of Breaux Bridge driving on I-10 in Calcasieu Parish around 9:30 a.m. Troopers and police from the Iowa Police Department executed a traffic stop on Williams’ automobile, and he was taken into custody without incident. Williams was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center, where he will be held until he is extradited to St. Martin Parish. The Breaux Bridge Police Department is investigating, assisted by the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations.
The Louisiana State Police continued by saying that they will continue to work with other law enforcement agencies to bring fugitives to justice.
