Louisiana Man Arrested in Connection with Possession and Distribution of Fentanyl, Oxycodone, Xanax, and Child Desertion

Baton Rouge, Louisiana – The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office confirmed on August 22, 2022, that throughout the previous month, EBRSO Narcotics had launched an investigation into Terelle Willis, AKA “Self Made Shark.” Agents acquired search warrants for many locations and conducted numerous controlled purchases of fentanyl from Willis during the investigation.

Agents executed warrants on Honey Dr., Bristoe Ave., and Tartan Dr. on August 22, 2022, with the help of EBRSO SCAT, EBRSO K-9, and EBRSO Intelligence.

The following items were discovered and confiscated:

  • 17.2 grams of fentanyl
  • 4 pounds of marijuana
  • 18 dosage units of Oxycodone
  • 14 dosage units of Xanax
  • Taurus .45 caliber handgun
  • 3 digital scales
  • pill press
  • blender with fentanyl residue
  • documented currency utilized in the controlled purchases

Willis was apprehended at a local grocery store prior to the execution of these warrants. Willis left his young child (around a year old) unsupervised and unrestrained inside the vehicle with the drugs. The 17.2 grams of fentanyl were discovered within the seat pocket near the child.

DCFS was contacted and informed of the occurrence, according to police.

In connection with this investigation, the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics executed a search warrant on Palmwood Ct. They seized marijuana and fentanyl, as well as around $4,700 in cash (pending seizure).

Arrested was Terelle Willis, 29 years, charged with:

Assisting Agencies and Divisions in this investigation include East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office K-9, East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office SCAT, East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office Intelligence, LPSO, DEA Task Force.
